Kevin E. Bruck
President |
Kevin is a nationally
certified therapist with an extensive background in both
therapeutic and advanced medical massage. He
established Relaxation & Retreat Massages of York back in
2003. His reputation for successfully applying
advanced medical massage techniques spread throughout the
South Central PA and northern Maryland region very quickly.
By 2005, his repeated successes with challenging clients
gathered the attention of the medical community and the
general public. In August of 2006, Relaxation &
Retreat Massages of York, LLC was invited to move their
business into the Brockie Medical Center in West York.
The doors for their new facility were officially opened on
October 9, 2006.
As a former EMT
and Paramedic Assistant, Kevin's interest in medicine
carried him far beyond the basic studies for therapeutic
massage. He has received one-on-one training from
medical massage experts in locations all over the United
States.
Kevin has excelled in a medical massage technique known as
"Myofascial Release." With Myofascial Release (also
called MFR), he is able to use his hands to slowly penetrate
down through all the various layers of skin and muscle and
locate the source of your pain. Myofascial Release has
been documented to have dissolved away extensive scar
tissue, reversed neuropathies, increased range of motion,
relieved acute and chronic pain, improved breathing, and
much, much more. The body is like a video recorder in
the respect that it captures past traumas and keeps
replaying them to convince the body it must protect and
brace itself against any future injury. The
non-invasive MFR techniques allow the body to release those
old traumas and unnecessary bracing and allows it to be more
at ease. Kevin's Advanced Myofascial Release
Specialization focuses on the muscular and trauma-related
issues directly associated with the female abdominal/pelvic
region including pre-natal and post-partum complications.
Kevin is currently writing an instructional book on this
specialized area of medical massage.
Kevin is also a fully Certified Lymphedema Therapist and a
registered fitter for both Jobst and Juzo compression
garments
